What is Cyberstrong Schools?
Cyberstrong Schools is an online cybersafety program that students (ages 9-14) and their parents complete together.
How does it work?
Once you purchase the program, you will be provided with an email message that you distribute to your families. Families will receive step-by-step instructions on how to view the video and complete the activities. Cyberstrong Schools is very easy to use.
When do families take the class?
Families have the freedom to complete the class whenever it works for them. It is fully automated. They can begin right away or whenever it fits into their schedule.
How long does it take?
The class includes a 30 minute video and activities. Families should plan on one hour to complete everything.
What does the class cover?
Families learn:
- What a digital footprint is and why it’s so important to protect it
- How to guard personal information
- Social Media Smarts
- Cyberbullying prevention (and the importance of saving the evidence)
- Dealing with inappropriate information
- Texting safety
- Ways to take control and create a positive digital reputation
